Dr. Shannahan is a general gastroenterologist at GastroHealth Framingham, formerly known as Greater Boston Gastroenterology.

Dr. Shannahan graduated from the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, Massachusetts. She then went out to complete her residency and chief residency in internal medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Following residency, she completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.

Dr. Shannahan is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She currently serves as a director of the Massachusetts Gastroenterology Association.
