- Gastroenterology
Dr. Andres Mogollon completed his general gastroenterology fellowship at the Virginia Commonwealth University and an advanced year of additional gastroenterology fellowship training in disorders of the pancreas and bile ducts at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Mogollon is published in the fields of liver disease and pancreatitis.
A native of Peru, Dr. Mogollon was awarded the Cross of Malta by the Queen of England in recognition for improving the Health Care system and quality of life for people in Peru. He was also part of the medical team for the volunteer firefighters in Peru. Dr. Mogollon founded and was the national director for St. John’s Ambulance in Lima, Peru. He was also the Latin American representative for the Pan American Health Organization / United Nations Organization, a non-profit entity that provides first aid, safety, and emergency response training. He is fluent in English, Spanish and Portuguese.
Dr. Mogollon is currently on staff at MetroWest Medical Center, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Newton-Wellesley Hospital, and Charles River Endoscopy.
