Dr. Dickstein is Chair of the Department of Medicine at MetroWest Medical Center, where he is a past Chief (President) of the medical staff. Dr. Dickstein is an Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at the Tufts University School of Medicine.
A graduate of Cornell University with Honors and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine with Special Distinction, Dr. Dickstein completed an internship and residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in gastroenterology at the Tufts-New England Medical Center.
Dr. Dickstein is a fellow of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (FASGE) and is on the executive board of the Massachusetts Gastroenterology Association. He also served for many years on the medical advisory committee of the American Liver Foundation.
His clinical interests include:
- Therapeutic pancreaticobiliary endoscopy
- Barrett’s esophagus and ablation techniques
- Capsule endoscopy
- Endoscopic reflux repair techniques
- Evaluation and management of cholestatic and advanced liver disease,
- GI bleeding
- Circulatory (ischemic) disorders of the GI tract.
